This pretty apartment located in the neighbourhood of Lavapiés in the city of Madrid faced us with two significant issues. The first one, a potential penalty related to a breach in urban planning regulations which was brilliantly solved by InOff Arquitectura technical team, as the building had a roof terrace and the building is subject to comprehensive protection because it falls under “Arrabal de Felipe II” regulations. The second one, the poor condition of the deck and the apartment in general. The project idea was based on light and the use thereof in contrast with wood, which is abundant in the original construction.
